Our Thanksgiving table, adorned with much spread
Turkey and dressing, cranberries, and bread
But there is much more-- than meets the eye
More than plum puddings, cakes, and pie

Much love abounds- in this old piece of timber
That we gather around, every November
Sharing with families, that we are part of
Laughter and joy, and hearts swelled with love

The aromas--they are most appetizing
And the mouth watering scents, are so tantalizing
And we'll pass the food plates, as we pass on tradition
Feeding our hearts with love, and our spirits nutrition

A harvest of happiness that with our family grows
Building bonds at the table, as candle light glows
With aunt, uncle, cousins-- sister, and brother
Grandma, grandpa--- father and mother

And though the autumn day, is bleak and dreary
Our Thanksgiving table, is festive and cheery
For Thanksgiving to us is more than just
turkey and warm buttered rolls
Its time spent together and food for our souls.
