Author: Unknownwith words of love and praise While we tell about their goodness and their kind and loving ways We should also think of grandma She's a mother, too, you see For she mothered my dear mother as my mother mothers me!
Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world. In the United States this year, Mother’s Day is celebrated on May 10th, 2020. Here are a few ways to celebrate moms and motherhood — especially during these unusual times when many of us are quarantined at home due to Covid-19.
1. Hand deliver to Mom / Grandma's Doorstep some flowers! You can order them to be delivered if you are unable to drop by her place while keeping your social-distancing. Or simply bring mom a flowering plant, or even a small bush/tree to remember for years to come. Leave on her doorstep for a cheerful surprise!
2. Cook or even Bake for Mom / Grandma! Nothing could say more than some "luvin from thee oven"! Recreate the meal persay that you recall being a favorite meal she made you when you were young.
3. Call your Mom / Grandma! This one is very important... make it an extra-long phone call recalling those good ol days from your childhood:)
4. Create a homemade Card /cGift Mail out early if not able to drop off in person. Add a funny story or happy memory of you and your mom? It will make her smile and You!
5. Offer to do some garden or yard services It’s springtime! Could your mom use help laying down mulch, raking or mowing the lawn? A "gift cerficate" with your family’s yard and garden services created by you would be even more specil for her this year!
