Witches on broomsticks flying at night, looking for someone to fill with fright. Chanting spells and mixing potions, inviting you in, if they take a notion. Wrinkled and green with envy and spite, they heckle and scare every kid in sight. They celebrate one night a year, plan and toil over a night of fear. Schemes and traps they plan to tease, till each child is begging please. In a maze you walk for hours, lost inside the witches powers. Mind games they do love to play, with each spell they cast your way. Sometimes in your dreams at night, a spell of falling is your fright. Those shoe laces that you know you tied, have tripped you one too many times. Well that's just another witches spell, didn't you know, couldn't you tell? They really are rebellious souls, with giant warts upon their nose. Mischievously planning their next move, as they stir up a bewitching brew. They are the pranksters with the tricks, because no treats do they ever get. Halloween games have now begun, the witches are ready to have some fun.
